Season Greetings from BIRGER.’s Chief Executive Officer

Dear Colleagues,
As the year 2025 draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being part of BIRGER. and to extend to you my warmest wishes for the festive season.
2025 has been a very special year for BIRGER., one that we will remember for the following key reasons:
1. Performance Milestone
Trust and hard work have been our driving forces this year, as BIRGER. reached its highest revenue levels of all time, achieving the objective set in 2024 to make 2025 our strongest year since our establishment in 1953.
While it is often said in finance that revenue alone can be a vanity metric when measuring company performance, the current dynamism within BIRGER. is clearly tangible. It is this momentum that is driving us forward as we continue to move up the performance curve.
However, when we look at our competitive landscape, we also see companies that once reached the top, became complacent, and are now facing decline. We must learn from these examples.
BIRGER. must not become complacent after achieving such a milestone. If we observe any sign of decline in performance or productivity, we must be proactive and decisive. To avoid downturns, we must remain.
2. 70th Anniversary of BIRGER. in Madagascar
2025 has also been an important anniversary year, marking 70 years of BIRGER.’s presence in Madagascar. We look back with pride on our unparalleled history and we originally planned to celebrate this milestone with the launch of our newly renovated office in Talatamaty in September and October 2025. Unfortunately, due to social unrest in Madagascar, these celebrations had to be postponed.
We later planned to celebrate again in November, but once more we had to defer, despite the tremendous achievements accomplished in Madagascar over the past seven decades.
3. Employee Loyalty
None of our success would have been possible without you.
For decades, we have run BIRGER. as a lean, resilient, and profitable company, focusing on sustainable growth, low volatility, and controlled risk, allowing us safeguard the interests of all our stakeholders.
For this, I thank each of you from the bottom of my heart.
LOOKING AHEAD
At the end of such a special year, it is important to pause and reflect on what we have achieved together, and what legacy we are building for the future.
Looking forward, BIRGER. will have to continue to sustain its strong performance by delivering proximity services to our customers and strengthening the trust they place in us.
We must not only preserve and protect our legacy, but also continue to grow it for future generations. This is exactly what we have done together in 2025. Thank you.
Our future commitment must be continuous improvement, forward-thinking strategies, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Long-term growth remains a priority: we must continue to expand beyond our traditional markets and diversify our business portfolio across new industries and geographical regions.
At the same time, we will integrate sustainable strategies into our operations. We firmly believe that sustainability can, and must be aligned with our financial objectives. In essence, sustainability means doing what is right for the environment while positioning BIRGER. as a responsible architect of a new paradigm, bridging technology, business growth, and regional environmental imperatives.
OUR PEOPLE FIRST
Finally, I know that all our colleagues aspire to build better lives for themselves and their families. That is why we have introduced new work policies and investing significantly in the creation of new workplaces in Mauritius and the region, to enhance our work environments and professional well-being.
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026
May this Christmas bring you joy, and may the coming year be filled with new opportunities and achievements.
Warm wishes for the holiday season and the year ahead.
We look forward to reconnecting with you in 2026.
JACQUES HAREL
